Viewing music and video artwork

Many songs, albums, and videos include artwork.

Here are ways to view artwork:

  • To show or hide artwork next to each item, choose View > Show Artwork Column, or click this triangle:

  • To open or close the artwork viewer, click this button:

  • To display artwork in its own window, click the art in the artwork viewer.

  • To visually browse your iTunes library, click the middle and rightmost View buttons.

  • While you are using Cover Flow (the rightmost View button), to view artwork full screen, click this button (to exit, click the button again or press Escape):

  • To change the picture that shows in the artwork pane when a video is selected, play the video. When you see the frame you want to appear as artwork, Control-click the movie, and then choose Set Poster Frame.
