Turning on spoken menus for iPod nano (4th generation)

You can use spoken menus in iPod nano (4th generation) to hear information about the selected song, such as title, artist, and album.

To turn on spoken menus:

  1. Connect your iPod nano to your computer.

  2. In iTunes, select iPod nano (below Devices) and click the Summary tab.

  3. Select “Enable spoken menus for accessibility.”

    If you have Microsoft Narrator turned on, this option is selected by default.

  4. Click Apply.

After your iPod nano syncs with iTunes, you can use spoken menus on your iPod nano. If spoken menus are turned on, it might take longer to sync your iPod nano.
